Plagiarism Hunting, DC Meetup, NatalCon Replay
News of the week:
Claudine Gay is out at Harvard, and Chris Rufo and Charles Haywood are releasing the hounds.
The biggest problem I see with our side of the political divide is the lack of opportunities for paid activism. The beauty of the managerial/bureaucratic left-wing business model is that they actually get their enemies to pay for it:
Of course, that’s the product of a decades-long campaign of institutional capture, but even modest payments for purely political agitation/disruption will go a long way.
There’s a certain type of guy who will do this kind of thing for free — but getting paid to do it, in any amount, totally transforms what that feels like. It gives him psychological permission to take it seriously.
The Israel/Palestine cleavage on the Left has created opportunities for all sorts of (legal, ethical) shenanigans for which our people would need very little financial inducement. It’s an exciting time.
The Natal Conference 2023 replay is available now:
Natal Conference 2023 was a fascinating confluence of tech and trad. Several people who attended compared it to the early energy at the Singularity Summit — very bright people looking to answer a question that will determine whether your country, family, culture, civilization will be around in 100 years.
Here’s my opening remarks on day one.
For EXIT Members:
Tonight on the AI call (6PM Mondays) we’ll be discussing the new OpenAI Marketplace and demonstrating some projects we might sell there.
On the full-group call (9PM Tuesdays), we’ll hear from a VC about how fundraising works and what kinds of projects attract investment. Should be a great conversation.
Also: the weekly working groups have been added to the weekly calendar. If you’re struggling to find time to move your entrepreneurial/strategic projects forward, a working group is a great way to make the time.
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, it takes two hours:
5 minutes of goal setting
55 minutes of remote co-working time (on any project that moves you forward)
5 minute check-in
50 minutes of work
5 minute recap/accountability
It’s similar to flow.club except no pink hair and no septum rings, and free for the boys.
If you’re interested to learn more, reach out at exitgroup.us.
DC Meetup February 2:
Our DC meetup for paid subscribers will take place at 7:00PM on February 2. We’ll be meeting at a hotel bar with a special guest (to be announced).
