To be honest, in this case, I don't believe it should even matter why she did it. I'm sorry but this entire story is surreal. The entire justice system across the West needs a serious rethinking.
Fascinating analysis. The modern culture has been broken intentionally. Jobs are soul sucking. People often don't know their neighbors. There is no community. Family, if there is contact, is spread out so maybe see each other a few times a year at most. Housework is no longer all consuming and two incomes are usually needed for "the good life." Now people have most of their connection online and, as you note, algorithms are designed to spark controversy.
No. I most certainly do not. Just like the "thousands" who attended the Jason Arday vigil, I assume the nutters crying over the baby killer are all vaxxed and triple boosted.
I remember there was hefty talk online in 2021 about the clot shot being able to cross the blood-brain barrier, which of course, "The Science" declared was just a conspiracy theory. I have since wondered how much of the mental illness we see today can be attributed to the jab....or is the increased insanity just accelerating because of all the other social factors, many of which have gotten worse since 2020.

As Not One of Those Women (tomboy, unusually masculine personality, decided not to have kids when I was a child, took great pains never to become pregnant, married a like-minded man 50 years ago) I share the frustration of dealing with Those Kind of Women, who I've concluded sadly, are likely in the majority, certainly on social media (& in women-only organizations!).
At the same time, I'm frustrated (& maybe you'll deal with this in part 2) with most men's knee-jerk self-righteous responses.
Understandably, the people who are with you on this are the least likely to post about it.

Since I have a supernatural worldview, I appreciate you saying coordinated “human” agency. One will be shoved into one of two extreme tribes for having any kind of a nuanced view. Those online whom I think I share common ground, I find, no, I am a hated enemy. It truly is demoralizing. Not just in dehumanizing the ‘other side,’ but in giving the sense there is no one with whom to share common cause.
